SINGING STAR BECOMES BIG ONE TALENT WINNER 2012!
Singing sensation Scarlett Quigley was the star of the show at this year’s Big One Talent Show at Blackpool Pleasure Beach!
The 14-year-old from Altrincham in Cheshire wowed judges with her beautiful rendition of Puccini’s “O Mio Babbino Caro” (Oh My Beloved Father) in front of a panel of judges at the Paradise Room.
The final saw 14 youngsters aged five to 16 years old performing in front of Blackpool Pleasure Beach Managing Director Amanda Thompson OBE, Creative Director Antony Johns and Katja Petrakova from Europa Park in Germany.
The annual Big One Talent Show has once again presented judges with an array of young talent, including dancing troupes, saxophonists and a few dancing dogs!
But it was Scarlett who was the star of the show for 2012 and walked away with an iPad and a season pass for the 2013 season at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Second place went to singer Jessica Croston, also 14, from Blackpool while saxophonist John Tan, 11, from Hertfordshire came third.
All finalists bagged themselves a wristband for the rest of the 2012 season while the final three in the final received a season pass for 2013 plus a goodie bag from sponsors Robinson’s Fruit Shoot and Nickelodeon UK.
Other finalists included singers Chloe Dent, Declan O’Gara and Gemma McConville, dancers Alesha Margetts, who are all from Blackpool and dance troupe Candy from Manchester.
Managing Director Amanda Thompson OBE said: “Once again the Big One Talent Show has been a great success with lots of youngsters showing how talented they are.
“We have been amazed by how talented some of the youngsters have been and I am sure they will have a very bright future.”
