Thousands of visitors turned out to marvel at the fantastic firework display which marked the end of another spectacular season at Pleasure Beach, Blackpool.

The 2008 season ended with a bang as Pleasure Beach put on another pair of explosive evenings coupled with fabulous fireworks fun. The crowds were entertained with live entertainment, prize giveaways and top DJs spinning tunes to a backdrop of beautiful explosions.

On Saturday evening, Stephanie McMicheals from Big Brother wowed the crowds with her latest single "Camera Shy".  On Sunday evening hot new boyband `Avenue` took to the Rock FM stage to perform their debut single `Last Goodbye` as well as other current and future hits.

Joining the headlining acts were the fantastic winners of Pleasure Beach talent shows, Karaoke Idol winner January and Big One Junior Talent Show winner Harry Mondryk.  In addition to this there were performances from the talented cast of `South Beach Musical`.

The season may well be over but the fun continues at Pleasure Beach.  From the 8th to the 30th November the park will be opening at weekends for our very special Winter weekends.  With wristbands starting at just £10 if booked online, what better way to shake off the winter blues than a trip to Britain's best loved amusement park, Pleasure Beach, Blackpool.
