HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDY

09/05/2007

Andy Hine, Chairman of the Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain, recently visited Pleasure Beach, Blackpool for his 40th Birthday celebrations. More than 200 of Andy's Rollercoaster Club of Great Britain members joined in the fun, which included exclusive ride time on the Grand National and Pepsi Max Big One. During the celebrations, Pleasure Beach unveiled a plaque dedicating a train to Andy on the Grand National. It is fitting that Andy celebrated his birthday at the Pleasure Beach, as it is where his love of rollercoasters began. The first rollercoaster he ever rode was the world famous Grand National. Since then he has ridden over 1,000 different rollercoasters totaling 35,000 hair-raising rides in all. Andy is currently busy helping Pleasure Beach launch it’s fantastic new ride, Infusion. He attended the London launch in April and gave press an insight into his passion for rollercoasters at the exclusive Infusion press day earlier this month.
