SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS

08/11/2007

Get ready for a Christmas stocking full of family fun from Stageworks Worldwide Productions and King George’s Hall this festive season! The talented production company from Pleasure Beach, Blackpool has teamed up with King George’s Hall, Blackburn, to present the magical pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this Christmas. The festive fun runs from Thursday 13th December until Monday 31st December live on the King George’s Hall stage. Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs is the classic and well loved story of good overcoming evil, and Stageworks have used their creative flair to ensure this traditional tale is told in a modern way to appeal to the young who are experiencing their first taste of theatre, and to the more mature who will recall treasured memories of pantomimes past. Expert casting sees comic genius Phil Walker return by popular demand to add his special touch to proceedings, playing the hilarious and unwilling henchman Big Bad Ben. He is aided and abetted by the brilliant talents of the dynamic juggling duo Shizzy Mizzy. There is no more wicked Queen than Scott Campbell who plans to destroy the innocence of Snow White, become the most beautiful and powerful woman on earth and entrap the handsome Prince, (expertly played by Bryan Reid) to be her husband. Fear not, the demure Snow White, played by the beautiful Hannah Telford, encounters seven endearing and unusual little gentlemen (courtesy of the magical Puppets Illuminaire) who give her shelter. The Man in the Mirror (Antony Winmill) and the Snow Fairy, played by the classical ballerina Kelda Dearden add their magical elements to this fast moving tale, assisting the Prince in his quest to find a bride. You will be captured by the exciting and colourful world of Snow White from the moment you enter King Georges Hall until the moment when you leave. This is a seasonal must for the whole family!
