The Big Blue Hotel has cemented itself firmly at the forefront of luxury and style in Blackpool, winning a top award at the town’s recent Business Tourism Excellence Awards, which acknowledge the crème de la crème of Blackpool’s tourism industry. The hotel was honoured with the prestigious title of ‘Large Independent Hotel of the Year’, beating off tough competition from other hotels in the resort. The hotel and brasserie have received much acclaim from guests and diners who have experienced first hand the newest hotel to be built on the promenade for 25 years. Guests have been impressed with the beautifully designed bedrooms with oversized American space and a totally contemporary feel, whilst diners commented on the extensive menu in Blues Bar and Brasserie, exquisite dishes and focus on regional fare, all combined with excellent customer service. Big Blue Hotel General Manager Martin Jackson, who collected the award with Mrs Barbara Thompson, was delighted with the hotel’s success on the night: “The Big Blue has grown in stature and become a reputable, popular venue for holidaymakers and locals alike. We are constantly listening to our customers and giving them what they want, and it’s a true testament of the hard work we’ve all put in that the hotel has been credited with these awards.
