Here at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, we are looking to recruit a new Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Park Services team.

Main Duties:

• Help to maintain the appearance of Pleasure Beach grounds and gardens.
• Carry out the safe and proper use of power tools and other gardening equipment.
• Strimming of grassed areas and mowing lawns.
• A natural green thumb is a huge benefit, although thorough training is provided.
• Demonstrate a high standard of personal appearance and cleanliness.
• Ensure that all equipment used is maintained and kept clean.
• Hold a good understanding of risk assessments, standard operating procedures, fire risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
• Ensure that operational systems and procedures are understood and adhered to.
• Work closely with your other team members to ensure that the department functions as a team and that all information is communicated.
• This is not a customer facing department, however customer enquiries may come your way and are required to be dealt with in a friendly and helpful manner.

Working days/hours are negotiable. A full driving licence is desirable.

Experience is ideal, however training can be provided for the right candidate. Applicants must be aged 16 or over.

The successful candidate will be required to take a drug test prior to commencing employment.
