Production: Hot Ice Eternity

Dates: 3^rd June 2024 – 13^th September 2024 (6 Days Per Week, Monday to Saturday)

Overview:

Stageworks Worldwide Productions are seeking a skilled and experienced Fly Person / Stagehand for our upcoming ice show Hot Ice Eternity. This role combines expertise in maintaining and operating the fly system with general stagehand responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate closely with the stage manager to coordinate and execute backstage cues, artist entrances, and overall show flow.
2. Operate the fly system to facilitate the movement of scenic elements, backdrops, and props during performances.
3. Prioritize and enforce safety protocols for all fly activities, ensuring the well-being of the cast and crew.
4. Maintain clear communication with other crew members during performances to coordinate flawless transitions and timing.
5. Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges related to the fly system promptly and effectively.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
7. Assist in the setup and dismantling of the stage, lighting, and other technical elements as needed.
8. Assist with various backstage tasks, demonstrating versatility and adaptability in a live performance environment

Requirements:

1. Proven experience operating fly systems in a theatre setting, with a strong understanding of rigging principles.
2. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and manoeuvring heavy scenic elements.
3. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse production team members.
4. Quick and effective problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges during performances.
5. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the production schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Familiarity with ice show productions and understanding of the unique challenges they present.
2. Familiarity with other technical aspects of theatre productions, such as lighting, sound, and set.
