Auditions will be taking place on Tuesday February 4, with the team searching for exceptional ice skaters, with a particular interest in sports pair teams and ice dance couples.
Auditions will be held in Pleasure Beach Resort Arena, and anyone interested in applying should do so before Monday February 3.
Successful applicants could see themselves performing in this year’s show titled Hot Ice: XS, which runs from July 10 to September 13, with a mixture of evening and matinee performances.
Amanda Thompson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach and director of the Hot Ice Show said: “As the world’s first purpose built ice arena, we have had so many talented skaters on our rink. We’re really excited to welcome new talent to audition and join our cast of the world’s best.”
This is Amanda’s 30th year producing the show, and she carefully selects the cast from across the globe.
It includes Olympic and world champion skaters, some of which are local to Blackpool including Nadia Craggs, who trained on the rink she now performs on.
There has been an annual ice show since the arena was built in 1936, and only one performance was missed due to COVID-19 – there were even performances throughout the war.
“Hot Ice is a show like no other, and being part of its 88 year legacy is an accolade to be proud of. We can’t wait to see you all,” Amanda added.
