Throughout February half term, Showzam! will transform Blackpool into a hub of pop-up magic shows, interactive workshops and classes, and street performances.
Pleasure Beach’s resident magic show, Evolution of Magic, will be offering a free bookable workshop between 1pm and 2pm on Wednesday 19 February where children aged between 5 and 16 can learn secrets of the magic circle with Britain’s Got Talent’s Elizabeth Best and Craig Christian.
As well as the workshop, the Evolution of Magic show is on throughout half term with tickets starting at £14.00 for juniors and £17.00 for adults.
Amanda Thompson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort said: “We’re really excited to be part of Showzam! and continue to contribute to the vibrancy and magic of Blackpool.
“We’ve also opened our Nickelodeon Land for February half term, as well as our Adventure Golf course, our ice arena for skating, and our museum of the bizarre, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not!”
Other Showzam! events across Blackpool include ‘The Great Escape’ by magician Andrew Basso on Comedy Carpet, where he dares to escape from tank filled with water while tied, and Andy Hollingworth’s special tour of his ‘I photograph comedians!’ exhibition as he shares anecdotes about the legendary comedians captured in close-up portraits and intimate behind the scenes shots.
Amanda added: “We can’t wait to welcome families, friends and aspiring magicians to Pleasure Beach this half term. It’s magic combined with adventure in the most spectacular way!”
Tickets for the magic workshop are free to book through Pleasure Beach Resort’s website.
The Nickelodeon Land area of the park, which is aimed at families and younger riders, is open now for February half term until Sunday February 23, with tickets priced at £25.00 when booked online.
Pleasure Beach opens in full on Saturday March 1. Guest can secure the best value tickets at www.pleasurebeachresort.com, where prices start at £34.00 for adults and £29.00 for children under 12.
Showzam! is supported by the UK Government through its Shared Prosperity Fund.
