As the UK’s most ride intensive amusement park, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is committed to reducing energy consumption across the business to benefit communities and the natural environment. Being a socially responsible business, we take our environmental obligations very seriously.
The aim of our energy management objective is to set achievable goals for reducing and optimising energy consumption in key areas of the business. We will achieve this by measuring our energy consumption, analysing the drivers of that consumption, and educating our staff as to the importance of working in energy efficient ways.
We are committed to efficiently managing our energy use as part of our programme of continuous business improvement by:
Identifying our significant energy use.
Setting achievable and measurable targets for areas of the business identified as having significant energy use.
Encouraging key stakeholders across the business to continually strive to reduce energy consumption.
Efficiently managing our energy use through a formal programme of energy and carbon saving measures.
Promoting the procurement and evaluation of energy efficient products and services that reduce our energy use.
Communicating this Energy Management Policy Statement, and other supporting information, to interested parties.
Ensuring the availability of information and necessary resources to achieve objectives and energy targets.
Fulfilling our obligations under the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS), and Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR).
Complying with relevant legislation and any other requirements applicable to our operations.
Regularly reviewing this Energy Management Policy Statement and supporting documentation.
