You’ve been cleared for takeoff. As one of our invited guests, you’re among the first to experience the newly re-imagined Launch Pad.

Launch Pad has had its cylinder replaced, so that it now delivers more powerful launches, weightless moments and stomach-dropping force. There’s also been a complete re-theme for a more immersive experience, and Launch Pad returns with new colours, changing from white to electrifying red and blue.

It’s a small step for man… and a giant leap (210 feet skyward, in fact) for Pleasure Beach Resort.

Your mission:

Be one of the first to ride Launch Pad, capture the moment, and enjoy an amazing day at Pleasure Beach Resort.

Pre-flight Briefing:

9:30am - Arrival & registration

Touch down at the Info Desk to check in and collect your lanyard, food and drink voucher, and complimentary eTicket.

9:50am - Crew transportation

You’ll be directed to Launch Pad with a glass of fizz or orange juice on arrival

10:00am – Welcome Speech from presenter Alex Brindley

10:05am – Speech from our CEO, Amanda Thompson OBE

10:10am – Opening ceremony takes place

10:20am – Launch Pad officially opens for first rides

Collect your certificates when you exit the ride

11:30am – Onwards - Re-fuel for lunch and enjoy the rest of the park

12:00pm – Launch Pad opens to the public

Filming & Photography

Capture the countdown! On-ride filming is welcome on Launch Pad exclusively during the event using wrist mounts and chest mounts (just make sure they’re securely fastened with two points of attachment – we’ve got cable ties if needed).
Flying a drone and filming on other rides isn’t part of today’s mission.
You’re welcome to capture the rest of your day across the park ‘off-rides’, please stay in public access areas and follow our filming guidelines. You can find them below.

Car Parking

Touch down at Balmoral Car Park – just give your name at the gate to be cleared for entry. The postcode is FY4 1HR.

Stay for the Day

Use your eTicket to enjoy the rest of the park after the event ends.

Your event voucher can be used once at any of the following venues:

Loki’s: Half chicken, fries & regular soft drink OR chicken baguette, fries & regular soft drink.

Ice Lounge: Classic or Premium Sub meal (sub roll, pack of crisps & regular soft drink) (vegan available)

Beach Burger: A burger or hot dog meal (fries & regular soft drink included) (vegan burger available)

Big Pizza Kitchen: Pizza and salad buffet (vegan available)

SFC: Chicken fillet burger meal OR chicken wrap meal (fries & regular soft drink included) (vegan Quorn bites available)

Reaching speeds of 80mph, you’ll be sent 210ft above ground on a towering steel structure. You’ll experience epic moments of weightlessness, a thrusting G-force, and a stomach-dropping descent.
