Soar 138ft into the sky on the UK’s tallest Gyro Swing.
No fear? Prove it!
Something BIG has arrived in the heart of Pleasure Beach Resort for 2026. Aviktas, the tallest of its kind in the UK, soars to 138 feet, swings up to 120 degrees, and sends 40 riders flying outward with their legs dangling over the Blackpool skyline.
Brave enough? Prove it!
The main queue line is to the right of the ride, with SpeedyPass and EasyPass queues joining just before the main queue.
The ride exit is via the ramp to the left of the ride.
Before boarding, please remove phones and loose articles and place them in the storage provided on the ride platform.
Get ready for a seriously thrilling ride. Aviktas reaches forces of up to 4G on the downward swing, moments of weightlessness on the way up, and unforgettable views of Blackpool… sometimes upside down!
There’s no on-ride photography on Aviktas, but you can continue the adventure with Aviktas merchandise available at the PB Store and online.

Leonard Thompson really did visit Angkor Wat in the early 1900s during his world travels, gathering inspiration for what would become the River Caves.
But legend says he brought back more than ideas. Hidden among the treasures from his journey was a mysterious golden egg. At first, it was placed within the River Caves, but when strange energy, flickering lights and unexplained disturbances began to follow, the egg was buried deep beneath the sands of Pleasure Beach. There it stayed for almost 100 years.
Until 2025, when excavation work at the former Bowl-A-Drome site disturbed what had been sleeping below.
At 138 feet, Aviktas is almost double the height of any other gyro swing in the UK.
Aviktas was built by Intamin at a cost of £8.72 million, opening to the public on 21st May 2026.
Each leg of the ride’s structure weighs the same as 3 elephants (or 1,500 snakes!). It’s made with enough steel to fill 4 tennis courts and riders travel at speeds of up to 60mph experiencing up to 4g!
