Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Before the visit

We would love to welcome you and your students to Blackpool Pleasure Beach for a school trip!  You can make a provisional booking by filling out our booking form HERE, emailing [email protected] or calling 0871 222 8787.

All we need to start with is your chosen date of visit, the estimated number of students and staff and whether you are organising an educational visit or a reward trip. Our dedicated team will talk you through everything you need to know and make sure your booking experience is easy and stress-free!

We only need exact numbers when you confirm the booking with us 10 days before the visit takes place. However, if you think your estimated numbers are too low, let us know as soon as possible so we can check availability for your visit date and make the necessary amendments.

Please note once you have confirmed your booking, we are unable to reduce your final numbers.

Once your booking has been confirmed 10 days prior to the trip taking place, we will send a Welcome Pack with everything you will need to bring inside.

All school groups receive Printed eTickets which provide access to the park and to each ride. Please ensure everyone has their individual Printed eTicket prior to entering the park. Primary and secondary school groups will also have a blue band which must be affixed to each student’s wrist prior to arriving at the park. Please see Can students leave the park unattended?” for more information.

The lead teacher will receive the Welcome Pack, however, the information inside should be shared with all teachers and support staff before the visit takes place.

Absolutely!  Teachers are more than welcome to conduct a pre-visit to the park once a booking has been made for a school visit. The pre-visit must be arranged in advance by calling a member of the Education Team. Please note at least one valid school ID, matching the school name on the booking, must be presented to redeem the tickets.

Home Educators can take advantage of our school rates on term-time weekdays. To be entitled to this rate, you will need to provide a Local Education Authority de-schooling letter, issued by your local council. Please note, we require a minimum purchase of 15 tickets for the school rates to apply. School tickets can only be purchased in advance via the Education Team.

during the visit

No. Each student attending a school trip will affix a blue band on their wrist, which identifies them to our security ambassadors, who are instructed not to allow students to exit the park prior to 15:00 unless escorted by a teacher with school ID.

Please note blue wristbands are issued to primary and secondary school bookings as standard, however colleges and university groups should request blue bands when booking if they are required for their group. Blue bands do not provide access to the rides – you will need your Printed eTicket to pass through turnstiles.

Please ensure your meeting point at the end of the day is inside the park, as students will not be able to exit the park on their own.  We recommend meeting at our Sculpture Gardens, FY4 Fountains or opposite Wallace & Gromit’s Thrill-O-Matic, as these are spacious areas.

We have a range of lockers available to keep your valuables safe and secure during your visit. Lockers are located at multiple points inside and outside the park and incur a cost for hire (approximately £3-£6 depending on locker size). Please note a debit or credit card is required to hire the locker.

Most of our rides have storage areas or may allow belongings to be taken on with the guest, however all property left in storage areas is left at their own risk.

There is limited space within the 42-acre site and picnics are not permitted beyond the main entrance for the general public, however, allowances are made for guests with special dietary requirements.

School parties booked in advance are welcome to bring packed lunches with them. There are no lunchrooms available however there are several areas around the park which may be suitable, but these cannot be reserved in advance.

Yes, a few of the rides feature strobe lighting. This information can be found in our Access Guide on our Accessibility web page and on the safety signage at the entrance of each ride.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has 5 car parks with over 1,000 car parking spaces and a dedicated coach park. All coach parking must be booked and paid for in advance.

We are committed to helping guests with additional needs experience a spectacular and memorable visit to Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

We aim to do everything possible to ensure our guests have a safe and pleasurable visit.

However, certain rides and attractions in our park are physically demanding and vigorous. Blackpool Pleasure Beach, therefore, reserves the right to refuse admission to any ride or attraction should we feel that there is an unacceptable risk to your safety or the safety of others should they participate.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach has been advised that in refusing to provide admission to rides and attractions on the grounds of health and safety, is not discriminatory and this is provided for in the Equality Act 2010. This view is endorsed by the HSE.

We hope that you understand and accept this statement, which is made in the interest of health and safety.

In advance of your visit, we recommend that you download our Guide for Guests with Disabilities to ensure you have as much information as you can get before you get here.

Debit cards and Apple Pay are accepted. This includes junior prepaid bank cards.
